Based on the availability of funds the MISD Foundation
for Excellence will provide tuition assistance to
families who feel the educational opportunities in our
system best meet the needs of their children. The primary
criterion for approval of an application is need.
The regular application time is in the spring for the
following full academic year. Normally a limited amount
of each year's funding is held back from the full year
grants to assist families whose circumstances have
changed since the regular full year application time.
Applications for this spring assistance should be made in
the fall.
If you received a full year grant then you cannot apply
for a grant for the spring of the same year.
Who can obtain tuition
assistance?
Out-of-district students who live in Calloway County are
eligible. If you are not sure of your eligibility
check at the Board office at 753-4363. If you
received a full year grant then you are not eligible for
a grant for the spring of the same year.
Where can I get an
application form?
You can pick up an application form just prior to the
deadline at:

(Please complete a separate yellow student information
sheet for each student.)
How many pages are in the
application form?
You need one (1) yellow student information sheet for
each student in addition to the four (4) pages in the
basic form.
Does the Yellow Student
Information Sheet have to be on yellow paper?
No.
When is the application
due?
In the spring, the deadline is April 15 for the following
academic year.
In the fall, the deadline is October 31 for the following
spring semester.
When will I be notified of
the result?
May 31 for full year applications and December 31 for
spring semester applications.
